How content gets onto the platform, who is responsible for the rights, and how to report something that shouldn't be here.
We do not supply commercial books. Everything in a library is either an openly licensed collection we have ingested under its own licence, or a file the library itself uploaded, produced or licensed.
The organisation running a library is responsible for having the right to distribute what it uploads. Every library accepts this when it is created, and confirms it again on each upload — an attestation that it holds the copyright, licensing and distribution permissions for those files.
If you are a rights holder and something in a library on the platform infringes your rights, tell us through our contact form. Include the title, the library, and enough detail to identify the work and your rights in it.
When we receive a report we notify the library and give it a reasonable opportunity to respond before acting. Where the claim is clear, we can remove or suspend access to the content in the meantime.
